The running coach app for coaching athletes remotely
Updated:
You coach a dozen runners, each with a different week, a different threshold pace and a different goal race. The plan lives in a spreadsheet, the completed sessions on the athlete's phone and your notes in a messaging app. EasyTrackly puts it in one place: you write the plan once, the athlete gets it on the watch, and the completed session comes back to your calendar without retyping anything. Less admin, more time for coaching decisions.
A running coach's week in EasyTrackly
This is an ordinary week with a group of runners - the three screens you come back to most often.
Monday: who needs attention
You start on the coach dashboard. It shows numbers for the whole team, the athletes who need attention, upcoming sessions and the next races. Instead of opening every athlete's calendar one by one, you know straight away who to talk to. The screen is described on the Trainer dashboard page.

Tuesday: next week's plan
You build workouts from steps: warm-up, intervals, recoveries, repeats and cool-down, each step with a pace, heart rate or duration target. Recurring sessions - easy runs, threshold intervals, strides - become templates you drop into any athlete's calendar. A finished week can be copied to the following weeks or to other athletes. The Structured workouts page shows how to build a workout from steps.

Sunday: completed sessions and form
After the weekend long run the activities are already in the calendar - the athlete uploads nothing. You open the workout, compare plan with execution, read the athlete's comment and effort rating. The training load and form chart shows whether the week was too easy, about right or too hard. The Training load and form page explains where the numbers come from.

What matters in running
Pace and zones
Every athlete has their own threshold pace, threshold heart rate, maximum and resting heart rate. From these the app calculates heart rate zones separately for running, cycling and swimming, and the activity panel shows time spent in each zone. The athlete sets thresholds in their profile, or you set them on the athlete's card - see Training settings and zones.
Your athlete does not know their threshold yet? The Running calculator works out pace and time over a distance, a race prediction from another result, training paces from a race and heart rate and pace zones with the same method the app uses.
Load calculated from pace
A run with GPS gets its training load from pace relative to the athlete's threshold, corrected for uphill and downhill. Without a threshold pace the app falls back to heart rate, and without a heart rate monitor to the effort rating. One scale for every sport means a triathlete's week adds up the same way as a marathoner's.
A, B and C races
You add races to the calendar with distance, target time and an A, B or C priority. An A race is the one you build the season around; B and C are tune-ups and training races. All your athletes' races are listed in one table. Details: Competitions.
Workouts on the watch
A published workout with steps goes to the watch of every athlete who connected their account and kept workout sending on. The athlete runs intervals guided by the watch, not by a note in their pocket. Changing the date or the steps reaches the watch without any action from you. The Garmin Connect integration page explains it step by step.
Watches and integrations
The athlete connects their watch account once in their profile, and from then on completed sessions land in the calendar by themselves. You cannot connect a watch on the athlete's behalf, but you see everything that came from it: route, laps, pace, heart rate and power. An athlete running without a connected watch can upload a file or log the session manually.

Frequently asked questions
Does the athlete need a specific watch?
No. An athlete without a connected watch uploads an activity file or logs the session manually, and the load is then calculated from heart rate or the effort rating. Sending the plan to the watch works for connected accounts that support it.
How much does a running coach app cost?
Pricing is further down this page. The coach pays; the athlete account is free, and plans differ by how many athletes you coach. You start with a free trial, no card required.
Can I move my athletes gradually?
Yes. Invite a single athlete first and coach them in parallel with your current tool. The invitation is a code the athlete enters when creating their account.
Does the athlete see the plan on their phone?
Yes. The athlete has their own calendar, a dashboard with today's sessions and comments on every workout - in the browser on phone and desktop.
Start with one athlete
