ROUVY for coaches: your athlete's indoor rides in your calendar
Updated:
In winter a large share of cycling training moves to the indoor trainer. The athlete rides in ROUVY, and you as the coach want to see those rides next to the outdoor ones - without asking for files and screenshots. In EasyTrackly the athlete connects their ROUVY account once, and every finished ride reaches the calendar you see as a coach, with power, heart rate and cadence. This page explains exactly what comes in, what the athlete does and where the limits of this integration are, so you know what to expect before you invite your first athlete with a trainer.
What flows where
From ROUVY to EasyTrackly
The athlete finishes a ride in ROUVY, and it shows up in the calendar within a few minutes. It arrives with power, heart rate and cadence, so an indoor ride is a full cycling session in the athlete's calendar, not an entry with only the duration. The athlete uploads no files and clicks nothing for each ride.
If a ride did not come through, the athlete runs a manual sync on the ROUVY card. It checks rides from the last 30 days and adds the ones missing from the calendar.
From EasyTrackly to ROUVY
This page describes a one-way integration: from ROUVY to the calendar. You plan in the EasyTrackly calendar, and the athlete sees the plan in the app, in the browser or on the phone, and follows the description and steps you set there. The execution comes back to you through ROUVY.
Which sports
Rides only. ROUVY shares only indoor rides, so the ROUVY card has no sport selection - every finished ride reaches the calendar. The athlete imports running, swimming and outdoor rides from their watch, for example through Garmin or COROS, and ROUVY rides land next to them in the same calendar.
What the coach sees
- The athlete's calendar, with indoor rides next to outdoor rides and other sessions.
- The imported ride with power, heart rate and cadence. The Laps, charts and zones page explains how to read the activity panel, including power zones on a bike with a power meter.
- Indoor rides in the athlete's statistics together with the rest of the completed activities. The Statistics page explains what you will find there.
Only the athlete has the integrations tab. The coach cannot connect a ROUVY account on the athlete's behalf - but sees in the calendar everything that came from ROUVY.
What the athlete does
The connection is on the athlete's side and takes a moment.
- In the profile, on the integrations tab, they click connect on the ROUVY card.
- They sign in on ROUVY's site and approve access.
- Back in the app, the card shows an active connection. From then on they ride as usual.
The step-by-step guide is on the ROUVY page in the Help Center.
Limits and consents
- Rides only. ROUVY does not share other sports, so the card has no discipline selection.
- Manual sync covers 30 days. The sync button checks the last 30 days and fetches rides missing from the calendar.
- Temporary request limit. When the card shows that ROUVY is limiting requests, the sync has to be retried later.
- Expired access. When access expires or is revoked, the card asks the athlete to reconnect.
- One ROUVY account, one EasyTrackly account. A ROUVY account can be connected to only one account in the app.
Frequently asked questions
A ROUVY ride is missing from the calendar. What should I check?
First the state of the athlete's ROUVY card. Expired or revoked access stops the import - the athlete then reconnects the account. With a temporary request limit, it is enough to try again later. A manual sync fetches missing rides from the last 30 days. The full list of causes is on the Common sync problems page.
Does the athlete have to click anything after each ride?
No. Once the account is connected, every finished ride arrives on its own within a few minutes. The How import works page explains import from every source.
What happens after disconnecting?
Disconnecting stops the import, and imported rides stay in the calendar.
Start with one athlete
Create a coach account, invite an athlete who rides in ROUVY and ask them to connect their account. Plan their week in the calendar, and after the first indoor ride you will see the execution with power, heart rate and cadence. If you coach cyclists, see the for cycling coaches page too.
