Who can see my data

What your coach sees of your workouts, reports and check-ins, what nobody but you can see, and what happens to your data when coaching ends or you delete your account.

For athletesUpdated:

This page puts in one place who can look at your workouts and data in the app, and how to end that access.

What your coach sees

Your coach sees your data for as long as you work together, including a break when they have suspended you. Other coaches can't see it.

  • Calendar: published workouts, competitions and activities, whether synced from your watch or entered by hand, with your effort rating and note.
  • Workout comments: you and your coach write them to each other, see Comments and wellbeing.
  • The wellbeing check-in, if your coach has turned it on, plus your thresholds and zones.
  • Reports: each report goes to the coach who asked for it, see Reports.

A draft workout is visible only to the coach who prepared it. It shows up in your calendar once it is published.

What your coach keeps to themselves

Your coach can keep notes about you on the athlete summary screen. Only the author can see them - they never appear in your app or in your notifications.

Your control over your data

  1. Keep your calendar subscription address safe

The calendar subscription address works like a password: anyone who has it can see your plan without logging in. If it has leaked, issue a new one or revoke access - the steps are on Your plan in Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar.

  2. Download a copy of your data

In the Data export section, click Export data. A download link arrives by email.

Data export section on the Personal data tab with the Export data button and a note about the emailed download link

When coaching ends and when you delete your account

  • When your coach removes you from their athlete list, they lose access to your calendar and data. The workouts they planned for you stay in your calendar - see Suspending and ending the coaching relationship.
  • Deleting your account cuts the link to your coach straight away, and your data is gone for good after 30 days - see Deleting your account.

For coaches

You see data only for your own athletes, suspended ones included; once you remove an athlete, you lose access. Your notes about an athlete are private, while workout comments are visible to the athlete.
