Manually entered activity

How to log a session done without a watch from the day menu in the calendar: form fields, load from perceived exertion and linking it to a plan later.

For coaches and athletesUpdated:

A manually entered activity records a session that happened but never reached the calendar from a watch: a class without a device, a gym session, or a workout your watch failed to sync.

Calendar

The athlete adds it in their own calendar, or the coach adds it in the athlete's calendar - the activity then belongs to the athlete, not the coach. If the day already has a planned workout, it is easier to close that workout with a manual entry from its panel: that creates the activity and links it in one go.

  1. Open the day menu

Click a day in the calendar. The What to add? menu opens; choose Add Activity. The option appears only for today and past days - you cannot log an activity in advance.

Day menu What to add? with Add Activity highlighted next to Add period and Add Competition
  2. Pick the sport and fill in the details

In the Sport section select the discipline. In Details enter the Activity Name, Date and Time. The remaining fields depend on the sport: running, cycling and swimming require Distance, strength has a Weight field, and walking has Distance and Steps.

Add Activity panel with the sport picker, name, date, time and distance fields and the Feedback section with perceived exertion and description
  3. Rate the effort

In the Feedback section set Perceived Exertion (RPE) on the 1-10 scale and optionally add a Description.

  4. Save

Click Add Activity in the panel footer. The activity shows up in the calendar on the chosen day.

Training load

A manual entry carries no power, GPS pace or heart rate, so its load is calculated from the effort rating multiplied by the duration. This is an estimate: in the calendar the number is prefixed with a tilde. Changing the rating or the duration recalculates the load.

Linking it to a planned workout

If a planned workout of the same sport is waiting on the same day or the day next to it, the athlete gets a notification suggesting the match. You can also link it yourself: in the activity panel click Link workout, pick the workout and click Confirm link. The button is missing when no workout matches the sport and date.
