Adding a workout

How to plan a workout for an athlete: the day, sport and template, details, structure and publishing.

For coachesUpdated:

You plan workouts in the athlete's calendar, on a specific day. The wizard takes you through four steps, and at the end you decide whether the athlete sees the workout right away.

  1. Pick the day

Hover over a day in the calendar - icons appear in its corner. Click Plan Workout. The same option is in the What to add? menu when you click an empty spot in the day.

Day cell with the add icons and the Plan workout icon highlighted
  2. Sport and template

In Type & template, choose the discipline, then a template from the list or Start from scratch. A template fills in the name, description and steps - you can change all of it later.

New workout wizard on the Type and template step with the sport picker and the template list
  3. Details

In Details, enter the title, check the date and the athlete, and add a description the athlete reads before the session.

  4. Structure

In Structure, turn on Structured Workout if the session needs a warm-up, intervals and recoveries. Without structure the workout is just a description. Walks and other disciplines have no steps.

  5. Assign and publish

In Assign, choose Publish now or Save as draft and confirm. A published workout shows up in the athlete's calendar straight away.
