Season and blocks

How to split an athlete's season into training blocks with a phase, a goal and a target competition.

For coachesUpdated:

A season is the whole yearly or multi-month plan, such as a marathon build-up. You split it into blocks of a few weeks, each with one focus: base, build, peak and race. The athlete sees the season and its blocks in their calendar.

Athlete calendarSeason
  1. Start a season

In the Season panel above the calendar, click Start a season. Give it a name, a start and an end, pick the Target competition from the athlete's races and write a short Goal. Confirm with Start season.

  2. Add a block

In the Plan menu, choose Add block. The Phase suggests the block's name and colour. Block dates must fit inside the season and cannot overlap another block. Confirm with Add block.

  3. Check the plan

A ribbon above each calendar week shows the block name and the week number. The panel tabs list the Blocks and Races in the season, along with warnings such as an A race outside a race or peak block.

Season panel above the athlete calendar: season name and dates, the current block, a block timeline with competitions and Blocks, Competitions and Periods tabs with the block list

Edit the season or start the next one from the Season menu.
