The schedule is the coach's own calendar, not the athlete's. It brings one-to-one personal sessions and group events together in a single view, so you can see where and with whom you spend each day. It is a different perspective from the training calendar: there you plan what the athlete should do, here you decide when you meet.
You book a personal session with a specific athlete as a single meeting or a weekly series. After the meeting you record attendance, and when something comes up, you cancel the slot and the athlete gets a notification about it. You move sessions within the schedule without hunting for them in each athlete's calendar.
The schedule views and filters help when you run many sessions, and you add new slots straight from the view without going to the athlete's profile. Both pages in this section are meant for coaches; athletes see their sessions in notifications and in their own calendar. If you run group training, also read the page on the group calendar in the Athletes section, because that is where you plan the group session itself and collect sign-ups.
